A song that he initially sat on for a while unexpectedly turned out to be one of his biggest tracks ever. “We wrote ‘Happen to Me’ in 2023,” he revealed to Country Living. “Why we sat on it for so long, I have no idea,” he explained while sharing how his feelings for it changed once they started recording. “Man, this will be a super fun song; we'll add it to the set list.’ And then I'll be dang. We started teasing it with TikTok, and it was my biggest release by far—and my label's biggest release. It’s crazy.”
